Educational Qualification: Graduate in Science (With Physics as one of the subjects), Technology or Engineering OR Diploma in Engineering with three years experience in the field of Engineering in which the candidate has earned the diploma or in the field of Legal Metrology and able to speak, read and write in Bengali / Nepali for the candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali.
Age Limit: Maximum-32 years as on 01/01/2017.
Pay Scale: Rs.9,000 – Rs.40,500 with Grade Pay Rs.4,400/-
Vacancies under Information and Cultural Affairs Department, West Bengal
- SUB-EDITOR FOR URDU LANGUAGE

Educational Qualification: Honours degree from a recognized University.
Candidates must have Knowledge, experience and ability to prepare original manuscripts in Urdu and reproductions of illustrations, Knowledge, experience and ability to translate from English to Urdu and vice versa, thorough knowledge and ability of proof reading in Urdu and Knowledge, experience and ability to undertake and supervise computer aided page designing.
Experience: Three years experience as Sub-editor or Working Journalist in any media house of repute or Three years experience as Mass Communication practitioner in the Public Relations Wing of Government, Semi-Government Organisation or/and Corporate House or reputed Advertisement Agencies with experience of bringing out house journals and publicity materials in print media.
Desirable: i) Degree or diploma or certificate in computer operation with knowledge in Pagemaker or Corel Draw or Free Hand and Photoshop. ii) Degree or diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication or Public Relations.

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written, Screening Test and Interview. SC/ST, OBC candidates belonging to State other than West Bengal, will be treated as General/Unreserved candidates.

Candidates will have to visit the homepage of www.pscwbonline.gov.in and click “One Time Registration” to register with the website. This is one-time only. Candidates who have registered earlier may log-in to their dashboard in order to proceed to the online application form.
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
