Applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. Programme in Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics from the citizens of India for the semester commencing August 2017.
Biological Sciences
Qualification : M.Sc./M.Tech. Degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 7.0 on a 10 point scale. (overall percentage/CGPA/CPI; not only in majoring subject)
Age: Preferably not more than 28 years as on August 01, 2017
Chemistry
Qualification:M.Sc./M.Tech. Degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 7.0 on a 10 point scale (overall percentage/CGPA/CPI; not only in majoring subject). Mathematics in the 10+2 level is desirable.
Age: Preferably not more than 28 years as on August 01, 2017
Earth and Environmental Sciences
Qualification : Master’s (M.Sc.)/M.Tech Degrees in any of the disciplines of Earth Science/Geology/Geophysics/Atmospheric Science/ Oceanography/Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing/ Chemistry/Mathematics/Physics/Chemical, Environmental, Computer and Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 7.0 on a 10 point scale (overall percentage/CGPA/CPI; not only in majoring subject). Exceptionally brilliant students with B.Tech. in Chemical, Computer, Civil and Environmental Engineering with strong motivation towards Earth and Environmental Sciences, can also apply for Ph.D. programme. For students with Master’s (M.Sc.) degree in Geology/ Earth Science/Environmental Sciences, a minor in Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics at teh B.Sc. level is essential.

Mathematics

Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
Qualification : M.Tech/ME/MS Degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 7.0 on a 10 point scale (overall percentage/CGPA/CPI; not only in majoring subject).
Age: Preferably not more than 28 years as on August 01, 2017
Fellowship : All selected candidates will be eligible to receive JRF fellowship as per the funding agency norms, in vogue.
