PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, WEST BENGAL (PSCWB) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 48 POSTS OF ASSISTANT ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL).

ASSISTANT ENGINEER  IN THE WEST BENGAL ENGINEERING SERVICE (ELECTRICAL) UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, GOVT. OF WEST BENGAL

No. of Vacancies: 48 Nos.

 

Discipline wise vacancies:

i) Electrical: 44 posts (UR-19, SC-08, ST-07, OBC-08, PWD-02)

ii) Mechanical: 04 posts (UR-01, OBC-02, PWD-01)

 

Educational Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent qualification.

 

Age Limit: Maximum-36 years as on 01.01.2017.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.15, 600 – Rs.42, 000 plus Grade Pay Rs.5, 400/-.

 

Note: Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not applicable in case of candidates whose mother tongue in Nepali.)

 

The post of Assistant Engineer in Electrical is temporary but likely to become permanent and the post of Assistant Engineer in Mechanical is permanent.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.210/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST CANDIDATES OF WEST BENGAL AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (PWD) CANDIDATES.

i) Candidates belonging to the reserved category of states other than West Bengal will be treated as General Candidates.
