Name of the Exam: West Bengal Judicial Service Exam 2017

Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be between 23 – 35 years as on date of advertisement. Age relaxation is applicable to 05 years for SC/ ST candidates of West Bengal, 03 years for OBC candidates of West Bengal & up to 45 years for PWD Candidates.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Degree in Law from any University or institution affiliated to any university or Institution affiliated to any university recognised by the State Government of the Central Government.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on preliminary exam, final exam & viva voce.

Application Fee: Candidates should pay Rs.210/- + Service Charge 1% of Examination Fee subject to a minimum of Rs.5/- (Rupees Five) for online payment through debit/credit card plus 12.36% of service charge as Govt. Duty or Service Charge of Rs.5/- (Rupees Five) only for Net Banking or Service Charge of Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty) only for payment through Bank Counter (off-line payment). No fee for S.C./ S.T candidates of West Bengal/ Persons with disabilities (PWD) having physical disability of 40%. No exemption of fee is available to SC/ ST candidates of other states.

Age Limit: Candidates age should be not more than 40 years for Post 1, between 30-40 years for Post 2 & not more than 36 years for Post 3 as on 01-01-2017. Age relaxation is as per rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess second class Master’s degree in Economics with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University/ Institute, 5 (five) years’ experience in the preparation and assessment of plans and projects or 5 (five) years’ teaching experience in Economics in a degree college for Post 1, M.Sc. degree in Chemistry or M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry  of an Indian University with a first class either in Master’s degree or in B.Sc. Honours degree or an equivalent degree of a British or other recognized foreign University, Experience in industrial concerns producing quinine or pharmaceutical drugs and Research experience for a period of at least two years for Post 2 & M.Sc degree in Chemistry [an Applied Chemist or Pharmaceutical Chemist or M.Pharm or B.Tech of an Indian University, preferably with a first class either in Master’s degree or in the B.Sc. Honours degree or an equivalent degree of a British or other recognized foreign University, Research experience for a period of at least one year for Post 3.
