Educational Qualification: Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade B in 7 point scale wherever grading system is followed) (50% marks in case of SC/ST, PwD) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent Degree from an accredited foreign University.

And should have appeared National Eligibility Test (NET) / State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) / State Eligibility Test (SET) except candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D Degree (See PDF file provided below)

National Eligibility Test (NET) / State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) / State Eligibility Test (SET) shall not be required for such Master’s Degree Programme in disciplines for which National Eligibility Test (NET) / State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) / State Eligibility Test (SET) accredited test is not conducted.

Candidates must have proficiency to communicate (spoken and written) effectively in Bengali & English.

Age Limit: Maximum-37 years as on 01.01.2017.

Pay Scale: Rs.15, 600 – Rs.42,000 plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs.6,000/-.

 

2. HEADMASTER (male), VICTORIA BOYS’ SCHOOL, KURSEONG IN WEST BENGAL SENIOR EDUCATIONAL SERVICE (MEN’S BRANCH) UNDER THE SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT.

No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.

Educational Qualification: (i) Second class Master’s Degree with Honours Degree of an Indian University or equivalent qualifications,

(ii) Five years’ teaching experience in a responsible post, preferably as the Head of a well-established modern residential Boys’ and/or Girls’ secondary school,

(iii) Proved capacity for development of corporate life and maintaining discipline in a secondary school &

(iv) Ability to teach in English medium.

Desirable: (i) B.T. and/or B.Ed. Degree of an Indian University,

(ii) Practical training in educational administration,

(iii) Knowledge of latest development of secondary education in India and abroad,

(iv) Knowledge of Bengali – spoken and written &

(v) Knowledge of Nepali – spoken and written

Age Limit: Maximum-45 years as on 01.01.2017.

Pay Scale: Rs.15, 600 – Rs.42, 000 plus Grade Pay of Rs.6,600/-.

 

NOTE: Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali is an essential (not required for candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali)

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be on the basis of a Screening Test/Written Test and Interview.
