JUNIOR ASSISTANT (FIRE SERVICE)
No. of Vacancies: 147 Nos. (Gen-92, OBC-11, SC-23, ST-21)
Educational Qualification: 10th Pass and three years’ approved regular Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Fire with minimum 50% marks OR 12th Pass (Regular Study) with 50% marks.
Candidates must have Valid Driving License for Heavy Vehicle, Medium Vehicle and LMV.
Desirable: Additional weightage shall be given to a candidate possessing any one or more of the following only:
a) Computer Science as subject at 12th class level;
b) NCC ‘B’ Certificate
c) Relevant experience in an aviation/regular/industrial fire service.
d) Basic Fire Fighting Training Course from AAI Fire Training Establishment
(e) Sub Fire Officer Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-30 years as on 31/03/2017.
Pay Scale: Rs.12500 – Rs.28500
Note: Candidates must be the Domicile of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry and Lakshadweep Island.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 167 cm; Chest (unexpanded) — 81 Cm; Chest (expanded) — 86 cm; Weight — 55 Kg
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Medical Examination, Driving Test, Endurance Test.
Examination will be held at Trichy, Hyderabad, Mangalore, Trivandrum and Agatti.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favour of Airports Authority of India, payable at Chennai. Candidates must write their name on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.
