1. GROUP D

No. of Vacancies: 6000 Nos. (UR-3302, OBC-999, SC-1253, ST-365, PWD-74, MSP-07)

Educational Qualification: Class VIII Examination or its equivalent

Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-40 years as on 01/01/2017

Pay Scale: Rs. 4,900 – Rs.16,200 and Grade Pay Rs.1,700

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms. The Upper-age limit may be relaxed for reserved categories of West Bengal only.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.

Candidates facing inconvenience or not having access to internet may submit their application through a large number of Tathya-Mitra-Kendras set up by the Government of West Bengal up to the level of Gram Panchayats in the rural areas of West Bengal. The Kendra will take service charge of Rs.25/- (Rupees Twenty Five only), which includes the Service Tax.
